GreaterCapital is the GreaterGood group’s shared value consultancy, specialising in research, strategic advice and evaluation.

We have helped over 100 companies, international development agencies and civil society organisations to take social and environmental responsibility practices beyond CSI and turn them into commercially viable business opportunities that also bring genuine value to South African communities.

GreaterCapital is a social enterprise and a Level 4 BEE service provider. Companies using our services can claim points on the B-BBEE Scorecard on any fees paid and contribute to development in South Africa by helping us to be self-sustaining.

The consulting arm of the GreaterGood group, GreaterCapital provides research, strategic advice and investment opportunities to corporate, non profit and development agency clients.

South Africa is rated the fifth most generous nation on earth, with citizens donating R12 billion to good causes annually. Corporate South Africa contributes around R6 billion to social development. Despite this, we remain one of the most unequal societies on earth.

The GreaterGood group connects all kinds of givers – employees, individuals, businesses, investors, volunteers – with organisations working in communities across South Africa. So far we have:

Raised over R43 million for good causes
Developed a community of 1,350 non-profits, 10,000 givers and 12,000 newsletter subscribers.
Generated 190,000 hours of volunteer skills and time and facilitated the distribution of over 8.6 million surplus goods.
Provided The Funding Site knowledge hub and bulletin to over 4,000 subscribers.

We use our experience across civil society and the corporate social investment sector to press for ground-up, sustainable change in South African communities.
